Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer debuts

I bet they already working on Black Ops 2 and MW4...and COD 11..

@Richardthe3rd your likely correct, but it would be almost impossible for a game to realistically be set during WW3...it is said that ww3 would only last a day, due to the sheer number of nukes (if i remember currently there are enough nuke to kill 14 billion people which is approximately double the human population) so i dont think a game would work during ww3 if it was realistic. But you have to remember that it is a game, games are not supposed to be exactly like real life or they would be boring...cod is not a simulation and im glad for it...but maybe they will explain why the world isn't a wasteland...maybe something happened that stopped an all-out nuclear war...we will have just to wait and see.

I'm not making any decisions yet..... I'll wait till the games are out and play them myself. It does seem like its cool to slag off COD, and yet it has shipped an eye watering amount of units. I think people are jumping on the band-wagon......

I think it's funny that everyone is saying BF3 is gonna be so much better when we all know which game you will really be playing.

I believe this is the first time COD as accurately recreated real world places (outside of the mission near the White House in MW2). I lived on Wall St for a year and it looks EXACTLY like it does in the trailer. Which looks AWESOME can't wait for the game to come out. The only question for me is: 360 or PC? And can we stop the flame war please?

I do believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion but please don't go into an article which contains a game you dislike and hate on the game, don't compare it to BF3, because even though they are FPS, CoD and BF are different types of FPS. If you like BF3 more than MW3, don't view, talk about, or buy anything MW3 related. The same applies if you're a MW3 fan. Anyways I'm hoping for the best and maybe this game will change things a bit

interesting to note that Germany was the enemy of the first two world wars and now Germany are the good guys. Sounds interesting now.

You had to go there with the whole 'we saved your ass' crap.....I'm not saying the man power and resources of your fine country didn't help us, In fact it was the turning point in the war, but your forgetting that we had this small fight called the Battle of Britain. The RAF, using pilots from several nations, held off and defeated the German air force, therefore forcing the Germans to cancel the invasion of England, and thus giving the allies somewhere to launch their own invasion of Nazi Europe. The U.S alone, did not win the war in Europe. My girlfriend, who is Polish, believes that Russia won the war. Its all about perspective. Anyone who is bashing anyone from whatever country should just keep it to themselves....this is a forum for gaming. You want to argue about History take it somewhere else and argue with people who really know there stuff......

If you all like Battlefield so much, then go post on THAT comment board instead of this one. That said, the campaign on this game looks every bit as epic as the first two, and I'm looking forward to finishing it off.

@cshourihan I'm sure they will learn from their mistakes from the past and make this game epic. Modern warfare 2 was not a huge difference from the first however it still was a blast... Until it got hacked.

@TheIfym20 I don't hate cod, it's just that the game hasn't changed at all since COD4. Modern warfare 1 was groundbreaking, every one since has been a copy. BF3 is a new game, as opposed to the yearly cod mods activision comissions. Oh and I've never played BFBC. I'm sure it's good but I'm waiting for a true battlefield. Also I'm not sure you were aware but Infinity Ward is a shell of it's former self. The best left to make Respawn.

And I could care less about treyarch because their games suck. Black ops aka call of duty 7 has the worse hit detection ever.

Kudos on expanding the scale of the story, but I'm sorry this just looks a bit dated imo. If it doesn't play any differently or attempt something new to push the genre forward I don't see any reason to buy it aside from the single player campaign and new multiplayer maps. Obviously we all need to wait for specifics to pass any legit judgment thats not based purely on BF or COD biases, but from this trailer is just looks the same as the past two + Black Ops, only with an epic story.

@cshourihan Modern warfare is awesome. Best COD franchise yet and yes there is recoil in the game depending a which gun you use. BFBC is also a great game just require different forms of playing. If you love BFBC than go to BFBC page and leave MW3 gamers alone. Why can't people just Luke their own games and leave other ones alone if it does not appeal to them? Trench yard made COD Black Ops which was an okay game and they also made world at war. Infinity wards made COD 4 MW, COD MW2 and now COD MW3, activision just published them. Just like DICE made BFBC and EA just produced it.

@berzerk0912 Doesn't even matter too much considering half the cod players think it's made by activision anyway. Publishers shouldn't be allowed in the starting credits of video games.

@EcoSpartan I'm going to let your comment slide on account that you are probably to young to have played real battlefield, and thus dont know what BF3 is all about. How do I know this? There are a grand total of 2 (soon to be 3) stories out of the 19 BF releases.

This game will be great i have been playing COD since modern warfare COD 4 and ive always like the story and the gameplay more better than treyarch productions its going to be interesting to see what sledgehammer games and infinity ward under Activision go and do with this game. Going by this gameplay trailer it looks like the game will be the best in the series

Say whatever you want, Call of Duty will always have a better story than Battlefield. If IW makes the campaign longer, fix the hacking and modding, update graphics, and bring back the nuke, there's no way BF3 is beating it.

I ll have to buy this just to keep going on the plot. The rest is the same.

I wonder how many people who played modern warfare 2 also played Battlefield BC2. If they have a brain, they will convert to playing Battlefield 3 instead of MW3. I guess if you are a fan of zero tactics and tons of relentless action, then MW3 is a better option...my own opinion obviously

the only thing here that seems different about this game is the title so i think i will have to wait for next gen graphics then start the madness all over again.. just me or is this game turning out to be like tony hawk and guitar hero all over again.. my heart says yep logic says ya havent even tried it yet

If MW3 has as messed up servers and mod control as MW2 had/has, I will not be a fan of online. As far as single player, I'm sure the story will be epic, but I'm not sure the game will be worth buying just for the campaign... I wanna play with other people, in an enjoyable environment ! :[

iv now decided ill buy this when i know more about MP,cos if its anything like black ops,im not gonna be interested in the slightest.

@ edmond_villamor Very well said! Everyone is saying that battlefield 3 is going to be better than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.... but we all know it be! For every Battlefield 3 sold, there are 5 other people buying MW3!! i just really wish that people could that into their heads!!

Sigh...... People always gripe COD this Battlefield that. Come on people, we all know CoD will still outsell Battlefield 3:1 or even more even if Battlefield is GOING to be better than CoD (we have yet to see). Medal of Honor was an anticipated game and when it was released, all we can say is, meh....... Hopefully it wouldn't happen to Battlefield 3. CoD on the otherhand, even with all the complains of Modern Warfare 2, still sold really, really well. How do I know? It never dropped its price in Steam and it was on top of the Steam charts for months before Black Ops was released. So my point is, the Battlefield 3 is better than CoD MW3 is better is moot because if you compare sales volume Battleield loses. In multiplayer, even MW2 has more player than Battlefield BC2 (ala Steam) and it was released before BC2. Even now, MW2 outranks Black Ops (Holy crap that's weird!) Let's face it guys, in eSports, CoD is still king of the FPS multiplayer outside of Counterstrike and Team Fortress 2.

I can see the single player campaign being shorter than a movie.

It comes out the same week as Skyrim (which will be game of the year). I will be passing on MW3. But I will pick up Battlefield 3 because it won't be the same game 5 years in a row.

I know it's only a sneak preview but judging from the video BF3 looks remarkably better and advanced in terms of presentation and graphics. I'm a PC gamer so I guess I'll always say give me Dice and Battlefield any day!
