I played the free weekend on steam the other week and I actually really enjoyed it, so much so that I did consider buying it. But then I checked the player numbers and when a game is below 2 thousand ...

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post What Is Antialiasing? PC Graphics Settings Explained.

@mattjlea: i cant say I blame you. While I enjoy the extra image quality the performance hit moving from 1080p to 1440p is quite something.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post What Is Antialiasing? PC Graphics Settings Explained.

Having just moved from 1080p to 1440p I've noticed I can basically get away with not using AA on games anymore for the most part. Where the need arises I just use FXAA since a higher frame rate is alw...

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Prey's PS4/Xbox One File Size And PC System Specs Revealed.

@johnnykchop: I genuinely thought it might just be me since I haven't played an FPS on console for such a long time. There's something so disorientating about the movement in that game it seems.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Prey's PS4/Xbox One File Size And PC System Specs Revealed.

I decided to try demo on my netflix machine (ps4) and I just can't do it. Something about the game made me feel nauseous. I'll wait for word on the pc port and go from there.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post The Division PC Version "In Check" With PS4/Xbox One Editions, Dev Says.

Wait, what? They're openly admitting holding back the pc version as not to offend people who play on consoles? I think the majority of console gamers realize that the pc version would normally look b...

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Doctor Who Showrunner Replaced After Season 10.

Thank god for that. Hopefully whoever takes over will make Dr who good again. Maybe then Capaldi can really shine, his Dr just seems all over the place with very few of the episodes even being memora...

I couldn't believe this when I heard about it this morning. Amazing actor, gonna miss his distinctive voice. My thoughts are with his family. RIP.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Adam Sandler's Controversial Ridiculous Six Breaks Netflix Records.

I'm glad it did well, and personally I enjoyed it very much since I went in with no expectations since I knew nothing about it. Netflix seem really good at making series, and hopefully they'll contin...

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Oculus Rift Price Finally Confirmed.

@Alurit: That's what honestly surprised me. My friend literally had his finger on the pre-order button and then found out that his i5 3570k and 980 won't be enough. At that time I knew this was just u...

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Oculus Rift Price Finally Confirmed.

Its over £500 ($700) here in the UK, so no chance in hell I'll get it. I'm more into the idea of it for movies personally, but I can't justify spending that much.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Just Cause 3 Multiplayer Mod in the Works.

@Tiwill44: Not every game requires multiplayer. If that wasn't a part of the devs vision for the game, then why would they waste time and resources on it.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Steam Winter Sale Begins, Offers "Thousands" of Discounts.

This has to be the worst steam sale I've seen in years. Guess I'll be saving money this Christmas.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Dragon's Dogma PC Release Date and System Requirements Revealed.

I think I'll have to pick this up. I couldn't enjoy the slide show on PS3 so having this game run at (hopefully) consistent frame rate is gonna be a huge bonus.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Mark Cuban Defends Esports.

I love playing games, but I'd rather watch golf or snooker over e-sports any day. Who the heck is this guy anyway?

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Mad Max, Lego Dimensions Help Warner Bros. Revenue and Profit Rise.

I still haven't got around to playing arkham knight even though I own it, but its on pc so I doubt it'll ever be playable. Mad max on the other hand is one of my favorite games this year, got well ov...

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post "Doctor Who Definitely Going to Last Five More Years," Showrunner Confirms.

I'm fine with Capaldi as an actor, but I don't like him as the Dr. I have no doubt he'd be much better if that hack moffat would just leave and stop directing.

@DeathwachMarine: It has to exist...surely? If not, someone is gonna become very rich/popular by doing so.

  • thegamegod posted a message on the post Just Cause 3 Goes Gold, 360-Degree Panoramic Video Released.

@rampagejackson: While I agree with far cry and skyrim to some extent, if you can't enjoy a game like JC I honestly feel sorry for you.

Outside of porn, I've never enjoyed a video as much as I did this one. Cannot wait for this game.
