Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Does, In Fact, Let You Pet The Dog

Puppy scratches offer a bit of a breather during the game's campaign.

Even during a high-stakes mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, you can still give a puppy dog some love with a pet on the head. Technically, this helps your character blend in. But let's be honest: Most people would go in for puppy scratches regardless.

CharlieIntel posted the short clip on Twitter/X from Modern Warfare 3, as campaign early access started yesterday, November 2. The full game launches on November 10, with preloading beginning on November 9. Keep in mind that Modern Warfare 3's file size is pretty darn big, with Activision explaining part of that is due to the amount of content at launch, like Zombies.

Speaking of Modern Warfare 3's campaign, the game does stir up the No Russian controversy with a shocking mission of its own. The original No Russian level from 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was polarizing for developer Infinity Ward.

Another heads-up for Modern Warfare 3 players is that the game apparently doesn't feature a Platinum trophy on PS5. This omission might be linked to the fact the game is launched through the Call of Duty HQ app, meaning from a system level, the game is seen as DLC. There are 39 trophies spread out across the campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies.

On Xbox, don't expect Modern Warfare 3 on Game Pass this year. Microsoft has closed on its deal to purchase Activision Blizzard but has stated the FPS won't arrive on the subscription service in 2023. Next year, that could change, with the entire Call of Duty series a possibility to join Game Pass.
