Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One has dedicated servers
Activision confirms hosting details for upcoming shooter; will be powered by the Xbox Live cloud; new multiplayer mode Blitz and Xbox One bundle revealed.
Today during Microsoft's Gamescom press briefing, Activision announced that the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature dedicated servers powered by the Xbox Live cloud.
Fans have long called for dedicated servers for the series.
A new multiplayer mode called Blitz was also shown during the event. This objective-based mode features players attacking and defending two key points on a map.
Activision also confirmed a new map--Chasm--for Call of Duty: Ghosts during the event.
Finally, Microsoft executive Phil Harrison announced a Call of Duty: Ghosts Premium Xbox One bundle, featuring a copy of the game and a system. No price was given.
