Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Launch Trailer Shows Off New Toys
The official launch trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War features guns, explosions, and all the Ronald Reagan you can handle.
It's almost November, and you know what that means. No, I'm not talking about the turkey in your fridge. I'm talking about the latest Call of Duty game, and the ludicrous violence contained therein. Publisher Activision recently released the official launch trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and it hits all the high points you'd expect: worldwide conspiracy, Alex Mason, the numbers, and a pretty good Ronald Reagan impersonator.
For the most part, the trailer focuses on the game's campaign, which takes place in 1981 and stars fan-favorites like Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson. As with most entries in the Black Ops series, the campaign focuses on "deniable ops" and moves in the ongoing shadow war between the Soviet Union and the United States. However, don't fret: just because it's a shadow war doesn't mean there won't be a lot of explosions. The game will feature the usual CoD multiplayer modes as well as the expected zombie co-op experience as well.
Activision previously revealed that Cold War will be connected to the free-to-play battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone just as last year's Modern Warfare was, sharing progress and post-launch content. The PlayStation versions of Cold War will have an exclusive two-player zombie mode called Zombie Onslaught. For more details, check out our Cold War preorder guide.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will come to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on November 13. Activision recently announced that the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War beta was the most downloaded in franchise history. The publisher also said that this new entry will bring back original composer Jack Wall to the Black Ops series.
