Brad Pitt's next project will be an adaptation. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Pitt has signed on for Bullet Train, an adaptation of Kotaro Isaka's Maria Beetle. The story follows a group of five assassins on a high-speed train.

Retitled Bullet Train, Pitt will lead the cast, and Hobbs and Shaw director David Leitch will helm the project. Fear Street writer Zak Olkewicz has also signed on to adapt the script. Antoine Fuqua along with Leitch and Kelly McCormick will be producing Bullet Train under their 87 North banner as well as Kat Semick, who has a history of production action films such as The Equalizer franchise.

This will be Pitt's first feature after finally winning an Academy Award for acting earlier this year for Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Pitt was previously nominated three times for 12 Monkeys, Moneyball, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. However, Pitt has won an Oscar as a producer for 12 Years A Slave, which won Best Picture.

No other cast members or release date have been announced.
