Blasto Blasts Into '98

Sony sets a new date for Blasto.

Comments

Originally scheduled for release before the holiday shopping season, Sony Computer Entertainment America has decided to delay its Blasto title. The reasoning behind the delay is that Sony wants to make sure that the game is as good as it can be before it hits store shelves - now first quarter 1998.

Also, Sony has invested money to promote Blasto (voiced by Saturday Night Live alum Phil Hartman) as a strong character - one that could be equally placed with Crash as a mascot. Taking the time needed to fully polish the character will be well spent if the resulting game is a hit with players.
