Blair Witch 2 Gold

Human Head Studios and Gathering of Developers have announced that their upcoming adventure game Blair Witch Volume 2: The Legend of Coffin Rock has gone gold and will soon ship to stores. The game is the sequel to Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr, which was released last month. The second game features a mixture of action, survival-horror, and adventure elements, and it tries to re-create the same feeling of suspense found in the Blair Witch movie. The game takes place in and around a small town in late 19th-century Maryland. Players assume the role of Lazarus, a man with amnesia who arrives in the town just after the disappearance of a young girl.

Blair Witch Volume 2: The Legend of Coffin Rock features dynamic character animation, interactive Civil War flashbacks, and dialog that is synchronized with facial and gesture animations. A number of authentic weapons are available, including revolvers, muskets, and bayonets. The game is scheduled to ship to stores on October 30. A third Blair Witch game, Blair Witch Volume 3: The Elly Kedward Tale, is scheduled for release at the end of November.
