Black Panther 2 Given Release Date At D23

The sequel to Black Panther will release on May 6, 2022, it has been announced. The date was revealed during D23, where Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige came out on stage, bringing with him the first movie's director, Ryan Coogler.

The pair noted that the sequel will not be called "Black Panther 2," but didn't say what it will be called. While the 2022 release date may seem far off, Coogler said that the the creative team wasn't just spinning its wheels, and was instead focused on making a worthy sequel.
