BioShock Infinite DLC adding new AI companion?

LinkedIn profile of 2K Games dev suggests first expansion for action-shooter will add new AI companion character.

BioShock Infinite's first downloadable content expansion may add a new artificial intelligence (AI) companion character. A 2K Games developer has listed "DLC1" on his LinkedIn page (via Superannuation), with work including "animation and R&D for a new AI companion character."

No further details about this character were divulged and an Irrational Games representative was not immediately available to comment.

Elizabeth is the main AI character in BioShock Infinite. It is unclear how this new character, if it is added to the game, would affect Elizabeth's role in the game.

BioShock Infinite's $20 DLC season pass includes three expansions for the first-person shooter, said to provide "hours" of additional gameplay and include new stories, characters, abilities, and weapons.

but they pretty much answer that in the game, he was ashamed of what he did at wounded knee, he got baptized to "wash him of his sins" and started Columbia as basically a religious getaway but Booker being a "brutal" person at his core turned being a "new" religious man into being an extremist that wanted to "purify" mankind. I think one of the big parts of the story was the fact that Booker, no matter "who" he was, was a brutal man. No matter which path he chose, he would always go to the extreme to accomplish it.

@JayQproductions @Korvus85 That is true, but it didn't prevent us to play the entire thing through with Booker, right? :p Just like everybody dying at the end of a book doesn't prevent the book from having a good story. That is my opinion, at least.

I didn't really have any fun at all with the gameplay part of the game, I kept playing because everybody praised the story so much. So I would probably enjoy going through the details on "the other side", even if I already know the motivations and the ending result. Does that make sense?

Also, I never played Bioshock 1 & 2, but I bought them and playing through them now, not because I think the shooting stuff part is going to be extremely fun for me, but because I'm interested in knowing more about Rapture, and I think it'll be more interesting than reading a wiki about it :P

honestly this game isn't as hard to understand as many claim it is

@hector530 @Korvus85 I don't think the problem is on the understanding, is that different people have different interpretations on the story; that's what makes it interesting. I don't think that acting like you have the definite answer because you're smarter than other people makes you look cool :p

@hector530 @Korvus85 Nobody (at least in this comment line said anything about mind blowing, and an ending can be as open as you want it to be, if you choose to be creative. Again, sounding like "You think it's mind blowing and open to interpretation but you're wrong, I saw it coming a mile away and you'd know that if you were as well cultured as I am" just makes me not really want to have this discussion with you. You come off sounding a bit holier-than-thou, but I'm sure you're a great guy and I'm just misunderstanding your point :)

@Korvus85 @hector530 actually no infinite's ending isn't as open as people claim it is. also while you think infinite's story is mind blowing and never done before is quite wrong.

a story like infinite's has never be done before....... in video games. if you're a fan of good science fiction then most of the plot twists and the ending you will see beforehand.

although a good story this was the first game where the hype ruined the game for me. everyone talk about the mind blowing ending and i was left disappointed because none of it came as a surprise to me!

the only time the game took me by surprise was when elizabeth opened a portal to another universe. after that it never did it again.

for people who never experienced a story like infinite's i could see how its mind blowing for me, it was just a good story and pretty much nothing more

Would be kind of cool if you were Elizabeth and someone else helped you or something. If this is actually going to be a meaningful plot extension this may be the first DLC I get in a long long time.

Spoilers...

I was really invested in Booker and Elizabeth but damn the ending was so depressing... I'd gladly take any extension to help clear up what happens to YOUR Elizabeth... or well anything more really.

I would think every Elizabeth disappears since the girl you get to know is who she is because of Comstock. Anna though is alive and well for Booker to raise however he wants as the after-credits scene shows.

@NahumFJR A interesting idea, however, the reason the enemies left Elizabeth alone was because she was not a direct threat, unlike Booker. I doubt Daisy would be overlooked as easily.
