Plaid Hat Games, the board game company that developed the BioShock Infinite: The Siege of Columbia board game, is debuting a gorgeous-looking new tabletop card game. Titled Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn, the game places two to four players in control of a Phoenixborn who has the ability to summon units into the battlefield and cast spells.

The game uses dice as resources, which players can utilise to bring out spells or creatures. The length of each game spans about 15-30 minutes per player participating, with the Player Turn system allowing participants to plan their strategies around upcoming turns. Each turn is made up of short actions in order to keep participants engaged. For a brief look at how the mechanics in Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn work, check out the video below.

Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn can be pre-ordered on the Plaid Hat Games website, where it is currently available with a $15 discount. Customers who pre-order will also get a promo card that comes with three exclusive ally unit cards. Check out some of the art in Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn in the gallery below.
