Beyond Good And Evil 2 Beta Launching By End Of Next Year
Looks like we won't be playing this game for a while.
According to Michel Ancel, director of Beyond Good and Evil 2, the first playable beta for the Ubisoft title won't launch until the end of 2019. Considering Ubisoft typically launches demos or betas for games several months prior to an official release, it's probably safe to say that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is currently scheduled for no sooner than 2020.
The informal announcement came via an Instagram post. In a post of a screenshot of Beyond Good and Evil 2, Ancel responded to a user comment asking for clarification on the title's release date by saying, "We aim for a playable beta for the end of next year."
We were impressed by the gameplay in Beyond Good and Evil 2's E3 2018 demo, and were shocked to see Jade, the protagonist of the original game, show up in the final moments of Beyond Good and Evil 2's new cinematic trailer. Perhaps most unexpected of all was an announcement from Joseph Gordon Levitt, who's company is partnering with Ubisoft to promote a campaign where anyone can create content for Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is scheduled to launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
