I'm beginning to doubt my career choice after reading this, I should've been an analyst. You can spout any kind of obvious, pointless or stupid nonsense and still get paid.

I can't imagine these analysts spend too much time analyzing to come up with these predictions, because...yeah.

I've always bought both titles and won't change that habit, as long as the games interest me.

What about the Fans of Battlefield and Call of Duty? can they successfully/peacefully coexist!

Man I thought meteorologists had the easiest job. Getting paid to be wrong half the time... But. i think these analysts have it way easier

Maybe if this was the first title in each series, I could sort of understand this analyzing. But ya know, after a number of titles in each I think everyone knows this now.

Like many others on here, I just don't get these analysts or what their job really is. The past 10, 15 or so stories I've seen that involve an analyst stating something were all pretty much "Captain Obvious" type comments. Things that anyone with even a modicum of interest in the gaming industry could tell you.

The only thing good about CoD was the story based campaign...they kind of screwed those up by dropping them down into the 4 to 6 hour mark. Definitely not worth $60. So my interest in CoD has gone away since MW2. I am still playing BF2, and didn't really care for BF3. I'm hoping BF4 will be much better, but I'm not going to pick it up on day one like I did BF3.

How to become an analyst - Be a complete F***king moron - Hired.

With 64 player MP coming to next-gen consoles on BF4 we'll see how that goes. I see BF gaining a lot of ground on consoles next-gen.

I like COD story much better

I can remember every sequence since COD MW1-4, WoW,BO 1-2

From the early mission in Pripyat, No russian, Ghost death,the russian jet being hijacked, and the WoW, BO woods , Mason, Hudson, Nova6, Mendez, Cordis Die, the entire plot and it is nicely done

I can even remember the plot story in BF3

but COD MP is seriously lacking and this is where BF trully shine

so yeah they can coexist together

@Deadman_est1982 @fluffykiller Obviously they are not marketing to you but to those who would buy these types of games. There is obviously still a huge market for them or they would not make these types of games.

cod never changes it´s formula and battlefield completely change their formula but completely ruin the core features of the franchise. i miss bf2 were you needed skill to kill a vehicle, not this bullshit lock on weapons and maps were big, not this metro shit. its sad to see one franchise that never evolves and other that changed but for the bad. military arcade games suck today because devs think all gamers have a brain of a kid.

COD and BF attract different types of players. I agree with the statement that they can co exist. Battlefield centers more on team work great use of large maps and has vehicles that can be used in conjunction with infantry and is more realistic. Call of Duty is more arcade, smaller maps and centers more on close quarters combat than large scale combat. Both games are played in completely different manners.

Some people prefer one over the other that is natural, but to get into petty verbal wars about which is better is just stupid. Myself I happen to like both they each have their own appeal.

@Deadman_est1982 Killzone is amazing ... but BF Multiplayer experience is beyond anything i have ever since on any games! and what we seen from BF3 on current gen is %20 of the real or full experience of it on PC. ... which we hopefully see that too on PS4!

These analysts love to spout the obvious dont they.

1. "Our point is both franchises can co-exist successfully" : True, Simply in matter of time majority of FPS MP players will buy both.

2. "We expect more than a third of Battlefield 4 unit sales to be on the PC platform and the remaining units on consoles." : Bullshit at it's best. BF3 sale on PC is below %20 of total consoles sales

Says the analyst who's clearly never seen the pathetic fanboy wars between the two franchises.

Of course Battlefield series resonates particularly well with the PC gamers! that's where battlefield was born and that's really what pushes the bf games to the max, that's also another great point as to why BF makes Cod look like crap in comparison.
