Battlefield 4 players suffering from "intermittent connectivity issues"

Despite numerous patches and updates to the game, Electronic Arts' military shooter Battlefield 4 continues to experience various issues. A banner on the game's support site today explains that DICE is aware of the new connectivity problems, affecting various platforms, and will have more to share sometime later.

"We are continuing to monitor some intermittent connectivity issues affecting some players across various platforms. Thank you for your patience. We will update this with further information as available," reads the update.

It is not clear how widespread the issues are, or exactly what is going wrong to cause the problems. Whatever the case, these issues appear to be separate from the numerous bugs that continue to beset the game that DICE has outlined as part of its top issues tracker.

We've reached out to an EA representative working on the DICE team for further comment and clarification on today's announcement.

The bugs affecting Battlefield 4 are not only a headache for players, but for EA as well. A class-action lawsuit has been commenced against the publisher, claiming senior EA executives knew--and failed to disclose--that the game would be buggy.
