Baseball Entrenched on Top

PC Data has released the listing of top ten console games - overall and by platform - for the week of July 30 through August 5. Sega's World Series Baseball, despite its poor critical reviews, secured the top slot in overall game sales, coming in ahead of NCAA Football 2001 for the PlayStation and Pokémon Yellow: Pikachu Edition for the Game Boy Color. Star Wars Episode I Racer, at its reduced price of US$10, took the top spot on the Nintendo 64 chart, while Dreamcast's impressive arcade translation Virtua Tennis remained firmly in the second slot in total DC sales.
