Aussie game charts: February 5-11

Warcraft takes top two spots; Lost Planet back in third place.

The denizens of Azeroth are refusing to loosen their grip on the Australian game scene, with The Burning Crusade and World of Warcraft taking the first and second spots, respectively, in the latest sales charts.

The Burning Crusade, World of Warcraft's first expansion pack, has now been number one down under for four weeks in a row. Xbox 360 shooter Lost Planet was in third place for the charts of the week of February 5 to February 11, according to data trackers GfK Australia. The previous week's number three--WarioWare: Smooth Moves for the Nintendo Wii--slipped all the way down to seventh spot.

The PlayStation 2's normally rock-solid domination of the overall top 10 was muted this week, with Sony's aging console having only three representatives. Cricket 07 was the highest at number four, with Guitar Hero 2 and Need for Speed Carbon rounding off the PS2's offerings. Nintendo DS stalwarts Nintendogs: Dalmatian and Friends and New Super Mario Bros. propped up at the bottom end of the top 10 at ninth and 10th, respectively.
