After a long time at the top of the Aussie charts, Wii Fit had to languish in the lower positions during the past few weeks as the year's biggest games launched. But for the first time in six weeks, Wii Fit is number one again in the overall Australian game charts, according to GfK Australia.

Everyone's favourite hardware/software bundle--Wii Play--took out the second spot during the week of December 1-7. Mario Kart Wii remains unchanged from last week, staying in third place. Not since the Beijing Olympics has the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games duo made an appearance in the overall top 10, but they've returned with the Wii version claiming fourth place and the Nintendo DS version taking fifth. Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? moved up one position into number six. Sony's flagship PlayStation 3 shooter Resistance 2 dropped down several places into the seventh spot. THQ's popular wrestling series continues to sell well, with WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 finding itself in the eighth position. Dr Kawashima can add a second notch to his top 10 belt this week, with More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima: How Old Is Your Brain?, the sequel to number six, in ninth position. The final game to make it into the top 10 is Sonic Unleashed for the Wii taking out the 10th spot.
