Atmospheric New Alien: Covenant Image Teases Confrontation

The release of Alien: Covenant is now less than six months away, and a first trailer is expected this week. Before that however we have a couple of intriguing new images from the upcoming sci-fi horror movie. Both were posted by the Alien series' official twitter account--check the first out below, and the second at the end of this story.

These images follow one released earlier this month to celebrate director Ridley Scott's birthday, which featured the familiar sight of the Space Jockey from the original Alien. The scary first poster was also revealed recently--check it out here.

Earlier this week, actor James Franco revealed that he would be appearing in the movie. Franco's involvement had been rumoured for some time, but he confirmed the news to both HeyUGuys and We Got This Covered. Franco was unsurprisingly reluctant to reveal any details about his role, but he did say that it was "great to be part" of the movie.

Alien: Covenant hits theaters on May 19, 2017. It also stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Demian Bichir, and Danny McBride.
