Turbine Entertainment today announced that it has selected AT&T to provide hosting services that support its first self-published online games. Under the terms of the contract, AT&T will also host Turbine's existing multiplayer games, which include Asheron's Call and Asheron's Call 2: Fallen Kings. Turbine purchased the games from Microsoft earlier this year and has assumed all responsibility for the titles' technical support and customer services.

"Turbine is growing, and we needed to find a hosting provider with whom we could expand our services," said Mark Pover, chief financial officer at Turbine Entertainment Software. "AT&T's network infrastructure and hosting centers are highly reliable and secure while providing great customer service. We're excited to have them as our co-location and hosting provider."

Titles currently in development at Turbine Entertainment are known to include VU Games' Middle-Earth Online and Atari's Dungeons & Dragons Online. We'll bring you more information on Turbine's plans to self-publish games as soon as it becomes available.
