Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag confirmed, getting exclusive PS3 content

people want it, casuals love it, ubisoft has a lot of gaming studios developing games....

It would be a really bad bussiness move to not realease another AC game this year.

Somewhat anticlimactic being Haythams father so far as the story is concerned IMO.?.

I enjoy this series because of the intelligent way they go about weaving an entertaining tale through history. Ubi please do not loose sight of what made this franchise a memorable departure from the rest of the bland cookie cutter crud available by pumping out annual games with gimmicky sales offers just because you can.

I can't wait! I hope it will feature co-op!

Not really surprising. After seeing the ship combat sequences of AC III I kind of felt the devs would want to make better use of that engine.

"Wait, a new Assassins Creed game is gonna be released a year after the last one? What a shock!" said no one ever.

In other breaking news: Activision will release another Call of Duty next November.

I hope Ubisoft would use some gameplay from Mass Effect where you can command your ship freely to various locations, collecting treasures, doing missions (or side missions), and trading while sinking pirates and government's ship (perhaps British EIC?) along the way. The naval battle mechanism on ACIII is awesome, hope they can keep that (and maybe improved it). Since PS3 will get exclusive content (again), this is will be my first Assassin's Creed on PS3.

@kljhkll @sonicare It's extremely shameful too...the series is called Assassin's Creed. The developers seem to have forgotten what that means.

why would they bother with PS3 exclusives with the PS4 coming out?

Hells yeah. sucks about the ps3 extra content, though.... oh well

AC 3 was just a total letdown for the series. I will wait and watch on this title. If they beat it with a stick again... I am done with the series.

I really enjoyed the sea missions in III, so I think they could make a lot of this work. I'll be looking forward to it.

I wonder why they went back to Connors' grandfather, Does that make this a sequel still? I mean its numbers as such but if we are going back in time from the last games events. And makes me wonder whats the connection of the current time/ Desmond story.

I guess I will have to wait and see but this seems interesting.

Always thought that one AC title would just wrap up the 2012 stroyline then the series would live on and on. Turn out I am right. Enjoyed the Naval Warfare in AC3, looks like there would be more in Black Flag.

I hope there'll be many QTEs, microtransactions, DLCs and social features, otherwise I'm not buying this game!

Always wanted a decent pirate game. Hope this delivers.

Why is Ubisoft so quick to get rid of Ratonhnhaké:ton? I personally thought he was a way stronger character than Ezio and I liked him much more.

Just as the CoD series became a joke, so will the AC series.

Theyve really gotten a taste of the naval warship thing have they not. Now they got a whole game revolving around it.
