Sony Computer Entertainment America has today confirmed that Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, which was originally scheduled for release next month, won't be shipping until sometime in June. No reason was given for the delay, which is sure to disappoint fans of the long-running series, who have been waiting for the game since Arc the Lad III was released in 1999.

"We are thrilled to see Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits continue the popular series on the PlayStation 2," said Ami Blaire, director, product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "By combining an all-new storyline with strategy, fast-paced adventure, and battle elements for a deep, engaging gameplay experience, Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits revitalizes the series and is sure to satisfy fans of the role-playing category."

Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits is a role-playing game in which players will join brothers Darc and Kharg as they embark on an adventure to recover the spirit stones and restore peace and stability to their chaotic world. The game will feature more than 14 playable characters in total, each with his or her own abilities, weapons, and attacks.
