Apex Legends' upcoming Veiled Collection Event was revealed today via a new trailer, giving players a taste of all the new features set to hit the game when the event goes live next week. But two major showstoppers stood out from the crowd of new cosmetic items: Caustic's toxic new "Apex Contagion" Prestige Skin, and the event-exclusive Unshielded Deadeye LTM.

The new event features a new series of 24 themed cosmetics. Players who collect them all will unlock the Apex Contagion Prestige Skin, which features three visual "evolutions," the legend's new "Toxic Scream" finishing move, and a new kill quip.

The Unshielded Deadeye LTM will launch alongside the cosmetic collection, bringing a new twist to Team Deathmatch. In Unshielded Deadeye, players have no helmets or EVO shields, and Care Packages have been deactivated. Players start with one of three rotating loadouts, which change with each round:

  • Wingman and 30-30 Repeater
  • Hemlok and G7 Scout
  • Kraber and Sentinel

The first team to hit 50 kills wins the match.

As with all Collection Events, a new set of cosmetic bundles will be available in the in-game store during the event, and players will also have access to a free reward track. Players who complete event challenges and rack up the required 5,000 XP will unlock an Apex Pack, a Newcastle skin, and more. Apex Legends is free to play on console and PC. A mobile version of the game, Apex Legends Mobile, is available to play on Android and iOS devices, but will be sunset on May 1.
