The booth at Sega of Japan was pretty calm - more so than we had expected. The company showed its version of Star Wars Episode 1 Racer at the booth. The racing title is not the same one as the console version that was developed by Lucas Arts. The arcade Episode I Racer allows up to four players in a race and features a link compatibility with the Internet using a password system for score ranking. The game uses the HIKARU arcade board. Sega's AM5 Division is developing the game, and the game is scheduled for a spring release in Japan. The team also showed off its new NASCAR racing title.

Other titles Sega displayed were Sega Marine Fishing, a quiz game based on the anime/manga series Oh! My Goddess, and the latest version Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram M.S.B.S. Version 5.56.
