Another John Wick TV Series Is In The Works

Lionsgate boss Michael Burns confirms the company is working on another John Wick show.

Following The Continental, another John Wick spin-off TV series is in the works. Lionsgate executive Michael Burns said this week during a Morgan Stanley speaking event (via Deadline) that Lionsgate is planning to shop a new John Wick show to networks in the future.

That's all Burns had to say on the subject. It would be the second John Wick TV show following The Continental, which aired as a three-part miniseries in 2023. Ian McShane, who starred as Winston in the John Wick films, said this was a cash grab and that the filmmakers were not involved.

It's no surprise that Lionsgate would want to expand upon the popular John Wick series, but it'll be interesting to see what form the TV show takes if it does indeed come together. Beyond TV, John Wick could expand further into the video game space, as management at Lionsgate has confirmed the company is fielding proposals for a new title.

On the movie side, the John Wick spin-off Ballerina starring Ana de Armas was recently delayed to June 6, 2025. Keanu Reeves will make a cameo in that film alongside McShane. Beyond that, John Wick director Chad Stahelski has ideas for John Wick 5, but it may never happen.

Burns also confirmed during the event that Lionsgate is in the midst of shopping an animated series based on the vampire movie series Twilight. "I think there will be a lot of interest in that," he said.
