Amazon Is Matching GameStop Deals On Splatoon 2, MK11: Aftermath, And More

Super Mario Maker 2 is back in stock for $40 at Amazon, a Black Friday-level discount.

GameStop has been having back-to-back sales recently, including a massive Game Days sale that launched this Sunday just as its Fourth of July sale ended. The Game Days sale is one of the best ones we've seen at GameStop all year, offering steep discounts on first-party Switch games along with PS4 and Xbox One games. But if you prefer to shop at Amazon, you can take advantage of some of the same deals there, as the mega-retailer is price-matching some of GameStop's best game deals.

The sale includes the recent 2K Switch ports that launched on Switch this May. Normally $50 each, you can already save $10 each on physical Switch copies of BioShock: The Collection, XCOM 2 Collection, and Borderlands: Legendary Collection, now $40 a copy. You'll also find Mortal Kombat 11's Aftermath Kollection for $40 (PS4 and Switch).

Amazon was price-matching GameStop's $40 offer on first-party Switch games, but unsurprisingly, this offer has been popular and is mostly sold out. At this time, Super Mario Maker 2 is back in stock for $40 after selling out earlier this week, and Amazon estimates orders will arrive by the end of next week. Digital codes for Splatoon 2 are now available for $40 as well. First-party Switch games don't get much cheaper than this, so it's worth grabbing at this price while you can. While the other Switch deals have sold out or returned to full price at Amazon, you can find Super Mario Maker 2, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Mario Tennis Aces, and Yoshi's Crafted World for $40 each at GameStop.

Be sure to check out GameStop's sale before it ends on July 11, though, as some deals are still only available there. In addition to Splatoon 2, Mario Tennis Aces, and Yoshi's Crafted World, you can find Persona 5 Royal for just $40, Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection for $20, and Darksiders III for just 5 bucks. In other deals news, the Steam Summer Sale is still going strong until this Thursday, July 9, and you can see our roundups of the best deals, including the best cheap games under $10 and the best PC exclusives on sale.
