Amazing-Spider Man hits Wii U March 5
$40 Ultimate Edition for Nintendo's newest console includes four on-disc expansions.
Activision and Marvel Entertainment announced today that The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition will arrive for Wii U on March 5 in North America, followed by a March 8 launch in Europe. All other versions launched last year.
The Wii U version of The Amazing Spider-Man will be available at launch for $40 and includes four on-disc expansions. These are the Stan Lee Adventure Pack, the Lizard Rampage Pack, the Rhino Challenge, and the Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack.
In addition, The Amazing Spider-Man for Wii U uses the GamePad as an "Oscorp OsPhone," allowing players to access Spider-Man's in-game cell phone to accept new challenges, navigate the city, and manage upgrades. The game also supports off-screen play.
An epilogue to the film of the same name (which hit theaters last July), The Amazing Spider-Man allows players to freely explore Manhattan as the friendly neighborhood superhero and thwart the sinister plans of "a variety of criminals" in a story penned by Seamus Kevin Fahey (Battlestar Galactica).
