Allied Assault expansion goes gold

According to the Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Web site, the Breakthrough expansion pack has gone gold and will ship on September 22.

Breakthrough is a new chapter in the Medal of Honor's take on World War II in which players engage in combat from the deserts of North Africa to the heavily fortified defensive lines of Italy. In addition to new weapons and single-player missions, there's a new team-based multiplayer mode, known as liberation. It will also be possible to drive tanks and take on a minesweeping role in multiplayer matches.
