Pearl Harbor 2!? This guy is a total racist! Judge Moore, we as gamers thank you for sticking it to Thompson. That ignorant, fear mongering, crackpot will finally get what he deserves. They should send him to Japan and make him say that bigoty remark and then we'll see who's laughing. This guy's had a bad reputation the moment he was born. Aside from attempting to ban Killer 7, Blitz: The League, and The Sims 2 he also had a disgusting game idea that I won't bother mentioning, and if it were to be made he would donate 10,000 dollars to a charity. Later on game modders made his disgusting revenge plot against game companies come to life. When he saw these mods he then says that it was all "satire" meaning that even if the game was made, he wouldn't even send the money to charity or even think about sending it. So our good friends at Penny Arcade send a check to the ESA charity foundation and they used 10,000 dollars of their own money to pick up his slack. Everyone has the right to expose themselves to whatever material they so choose. It is a person's choice to act on it, and the parents responsibility to decide whether or not a child can play it. I don't like GTA anymore but not because of the violence. It is up to the individual to decide what is obscene to them, not for anyone else. Worry about your own gameplay and not anyone elses!

Wow, just reading these posts, it is clear I do have to fear the youth. All the people that want to kick, mame, hit with a baseball bat, kill, ect... Jack Thomson because he says its wrong to sell a video game that involves killing cops and hookers, ect. to youngsters. It's difficult enough raising kids, let alone having all this material available to them filling their brains. Most people who I know that love this game are quite immature, unintelligent, and let their children play it.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall. In Thompson's case, that would be his talk. But still, the cliche seems to fit in quite nicely. To me, this is REALLY big news that a judge would at least temporarily revoke Thompson's license to practice law in Alabama. Now if the Florida Bar would move faster on its two investigations into Thompson then we might be set. ;)

I'm so glad to hear this i hate when people blame crap on the dumbest things no one wants to take responsability for anything. Let game developers put out whatever they want to don't hurt creativity because the parents dont know how to let their kids know what is right/wrong and that the game is just a game doesn't reflect real life, is he wants to say some people died because of a vid game he needs to have a reality check look at all the movies as well. Half a heartbeat. But there's good news. Getting your law liscence tossed in another state is a bit of a black eye. It says that you won't abide by that state's laws in a case. So maybe, the next state he tries this little stunt at, won't be so quick to let the hick in
