Ageia acquires Meqon Research AB

Ageia Technologies, the California-based maker of the widely used PhysX software developer kit, announced today that it has bought Meqon Research AB. Based in Sweden, Meqon specializes in physics applications for game development, and its technology is currently being used in development of TimeShift and Duke Nukem Forever. Ageia's PhysX SDK is used by a number of top game developers, including Epic Games, Ubisoft, Secret Level, Big Huge Games, and Sony Computer Entertainment America.
