Relic Entertainment World's Edge gave players a preview of the upcoming expansion for its historical real-time strategy game, Age of Empires IV. "We've got some news on the next factions joining the battle in Age of Empires IV!" read a tweet from The Game Awards' official Twitter account, accompanied by a trailer for the new update. Premiering at Gamescom's Opening Night Live showcase, the Ottomans and Malians trailer revealed that the DLC will add two new factions to the game.

According to the trailer, the Malians use their wit to outsmart the enemy, while the Ottomans rely on brute force, utilizing an arsenal of massive cannons and an innate ability to rally large groups of soldiers to crush their foes. The trailer depicts the two factions on the battlefield, with the Malians lurking in a forest while the Ottomans demolish castle walls.

The Ottomans' cannons are not to be trifled with, and can easily breach walls.
