Redacted Studios' unlikely sequel Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC as a download on both platforms. The game is also coming to Xbox One, but players on that system will have to wait a little while long, as it doesn't release on Microsoft's console until October 9.

The game out today is described a "Volume 1." Two additional chapters will be released later down the road, each with their own unique story, characters, combat systems, and music. Speaking of music, RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan produced the Afro Samurai 2 soundtrack. Watch the launch trailer below.

Many of the original Afro Samurai developers returned for the sequel, including franchise creator Takashi Okasaki.

"Having worked on the original Afro Samurai video game, I am thrilled that we were able to collaborate with the same creative team once again to bring this vision to life," lead producer Dave Robinson said in a statement. "Having original creator Takashi Okasaki, music director RZA, as well as some of the original acting talent, like Phil Lamar, involved has been a blessing and we’ve been humbled by their commitment to this franchise. It's been a labor of love for all involved and we really think that fans worldwide will truly appreciate and love where we have taken this story."

Volume 1 is available to buy for $15, while all three can be purchased in a bundle for $35 on PC and $45 on PS4. PlayStation Plus members can buy the bundle for $35.
