Rights of million-copy seller have new home.

Comments

Activision has acquired exclusive worldwide rights to develop and publish future interactive titles based on Avalon Hill's Civilization strategy board game. The company also obtained long-term rights to produce an unlimited number of interactive games based on the property.

Avalon Hill's Civilization is not associated with the blockbuster Sid Meier's Civilization, published by MicroProse in 1992, or its sequels. The only computer game based on the board game series so far has been Advanced Civilization, published by Avalon Hill in 1995.
