A Small Apex Legends Update Decreases The Drop Rate Of This Shotgun
The Mastiff shotgun has been nerfed again, this time dropping less often across Apex Legends' battlefield.
Developer Respawn Entertainment has rolled out a tiny update for Apex Legends on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The patch makes some minor adjustments, particularly to the Mastiff shotgun.
The Mastiff, one of the newest weapons to have been added to the battle royale's regular on-field rotation, has already seen some nerfs with the introduction of Season 5: Fortune's Favor. It does less damage, has a reduced fire rate, carries less ammo, and more, now that it's no longer restricted to care packages. Now, the studio has decreased the spawn rate of this shotgun.
In addition to the Mastiff nerf, Respawn has updated the ability text for Gibraltar to better reflect the 12-second duration of his shield.
Heads up, Legends! This morning, we pushed through a small fix that addressed the following:
— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) May 27, 2020
🔸Mastiff spawn rates have been lowered
🔸Gibraltar ability text updated to correctly reflect the new 12s duration on his shield
Season 5 brought a bevy of changes to Apex Legends, including the addition of the brand-new legend, Loba. The new content season also introduced a new PvE, story-driven Quests mode that offers you weekly Hunts to complete and added narrative details to dive into. It's a pretty substantial update, so be sure to check out the full Season 5 patch notes to learn more.
