One of the first DLC packs for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a new Warrior Pack that supports the Call of Duty Endowment charity. The centerpiece of the DLC is a new operator who is based on a real-life military veteran, and this is the first time a real military veteran is a playable Operator.

The soldier's name is Ben. He is a 16-year military veteran and now a retired Navy SEAL. He was a member of SEAL Team Six and served in Africa, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He was he recipient of multiple Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart for being wounded in battle. He is also the cousin of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

"He served our great nation and now he serves the veteran community as the inspiration behind the Call Of Duty Endowment Warrior Pack, which incorporates his military service and our Samoan heritage," Johnson said on social media.

Ben's Operator name in Call of Duty is "Koa King," which means "Warrior" in Samoan.

The new Warrior Pack includes the Koa King operator, the 6-Karat and Dethroned weapon blueprints, as well as the Island Styling vehicle skin and the Lion Pride emblem. It also comes with the Rolling Mane calling card, the Triple Bone trident, and the Bone Skewer charm. Players also get tokens for one hour each of double player XP and double weapon XP.

The DLC pack costs $10, with 100% of net proceeds going to the Call of Duty Endowment. This is a charity that helps place military veterans in civilian jobs after they leave the service.

Activision previously partnered with Captain Florent "Flo" Groberg, who earned the Medal of Honor for his combat career. Groberg attempted to stop a suicide bombing in Afghanistan. Groberg was successful in tackling the bomber, but the bomb exploded, killing four of his squad members. President Barack Obama awarded Groberg with the Medal of Honor in 2015 for his actions.

Modern Warfare III launched on November 10 and is expected to be 2023's best-selling game. Reviews for the campaign mode specifically did not paint the brightest picture, and a report suggested the game was developed in just 16 months.
