8BitDo's Nintendo-Inspired Gaming Keyboard Is Available Now At Amazon
It even comes with giant programmable action buttons.
8BitDo's retro-infused mechanical keyboards have arrived. The pair of wireless keyboards are inspired by the Nintendo Entertainment System and Famicom. Like 8BitDo's wide selection of controllers, the keyboards are highly customizable. As a neat bonus, they come with a pair of oversized Super Buttons for mapping custom functions. 8BitDo's Retro Mechanical Keyboards launched on September 20 and only cost $100 at Amazon.
The keyboard has 87 keys, is compatible with both Windows and Android, has hot-swappable switches, and will be available in two editions. The N Edition has an almost all-white design with grey, red, and charcoal accents reminiscent of the classic NES console design, while the Fami Edition has maroon and black colors that make it look like a Famicom accessory.
For battery life, the keyboard has a 2,000mAh Li-on battery that can provide up to 200 hours of use from a four-hour charge. The keyboards support both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless connections as well as a USB-C wired connection.
8BitDo has been steadily increasing its hardware options throughout 2023, as it revealed its own take on the SNK Neo Geo controller in early July and a more affordable version of its Ultimate Controller was launched in May.
The company has also produced its very own Xbox/PC arcade stick, which happens to be an all-around great fight stick and option for anyone looking to get competitive in games like Street Fighter 6 or Mortal Kombat 1.
