8BitDo's New Nintendo Switch Controller Is Very, Very Small

The 8BitDo Micro is so small that the entire controller will fit in the palm of your hand.

Gaming controllers come in all shapes and sizes--but you’d be hard-pressed to find one smaller than the new 8BitDo Micro. Clocking in at less than 25 grams (for comparison, the Switch Pro Controller is 246 grams), this gamepad makes for an intriguing travel companion and is a novel option for young kids.

The 8BitDo Micro isn't the only small gamepad to consider. In fact, this isn’t even the first micro gamepad made by 8BitDo, as the company previously built the Zero 2, which is currently available just $20 and is every bit as tiny as the new Micro. The Zero 2 also has the added benefit of PC and Mac support.

You can also find the 8BitDo Lite, which is slightly larger but better suited for gamers with larger hands and features an additional D-pad. Conversely, you can snag the Lite 2, which comes with analog sticks instead of D-pads for a more traditional experience.

But no matter which you choose, you’ll be treated to a portable design, durable construction, and full support for Nintendo Switch and several other platforms.
