3DO gets JumpGate
The game publisher will release NetDevil's massively multiplayer space simulation near the end of the year.
3DO has completed a deal with Colorado-based NetDevil to publish the developer's massively multiplayer space simulation, JumpGate. In the game, players will assume control of a spaceship and engage in combat, trade, and mining in order to gain wealth and status. In addition, players will be able to work alone or as part of a team, and they can customize their spacecraft with upgraded weapons, engines, armor, and other features.
JumpGate is now in beta testing, and it is scheduled for release near the end of 2001. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
