Ubisoft has frequently updated For Honor since its release with new content and significant changes, and just recently it began Season 5 in the game. If you haven't had a chance to check out For Honor, Ubisoft also recently launched a discounted version of the game on PC.

The Starter Edition, as it's called, is exclusive to PC and costs $15 on Steam and Uplay, $45 less than the full version. As you'd expect, the Starter Edition comes with less content than the original, but it still contains the full single-player and multiplayer modes.

It does not contain all of the heroes, however. You'll get three Vanguard heroes that are unlocked from the start of the game, and you'll receive three more depending on which faction you pick. You'll have access to the progression and loot systems with these six heroes. If you want the other 12 heroes or access to hero customization, though, you'll need to shell out steel--the in-game currency that you can acquire by playing or by using real money.

This isn't the first time Ubisoft has done something like this for one of its big multiplayer titles. Rainbow Six Siege also has a Starter Edition available for $15, that's also only on PC. In other news, For Honor Season 5 began last month and brought a bunch of major hero updates and other changes. In addition, it added dedicated servers on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
