Producer Yoshiaki Koizumi, who was the director on Super Mario Sunshine and worked on Super Mario Galaxy, took to the stage to give more details about Odyssey. Mario's hat, which also has eyes, “offers action that can only be experienced on Nintendo Switch,” he said.
Koizumi also described Odyssey as having a "large Mario sandbox world" and added that "Mario has jumped out of the Mushroom Kingdom" and into a strange land.
The trailer also shows that Bowser has gotten ahold of Princess Peach once again.
Super Mario Odyssey is coming holiday 2017. No price has been revealed yet.
