When the sky rains fire and buildings fall, all you need is your best friend. (And a Desert Eagle with Flower Camo)

I wasn't a HUGE fan of this game, I mean I bought the first one and loved the customization of the guns. Hopefully this one pulls it off with amazing GUSTO!

-Storyline-
Rios and Salem are at it again, doing odd jobs for whoever pays them to do it. Mercs still and that won't change. While on the job, hell breaks loose in city and explosions ring out as if they were programmed to do it and chaos is set in motion. Dazed and confused, the hardened comedic duo set out to find a way out of the city.

-Gameplay-
Take into account of the same gameplay mechanics and there you go! Little tweaks in controls like the vault option and amazing sprint option (which is basically the Roadie Run in Gears, Hold A), and the cover system which is a lot easier now (While sprinting, you can sprint right into cover, or just toggle crouch beside cover and you will go into it). You can still tell your AI Co-merc/best friend to Hold position, to Follow you and to Advance with the D-pad. Double tapping the D-pad will cause the icon to flare up, signaling your friend, that you want him to hold AGGRO. AGGRO has returned and still is useful. For those who do not know, AGGRO is the sight of the enemy. So when one of you is blasting the M240 over cover, they will pay attention to that person and only that person, causing the other to be 'invisible' if the other holds the AGGRO.

Another new feature is saving citizens. Other mercs are mindlessly killing citizens of Shanghai, you can save them or attempt/fail to. You can hold the enemy officer and order your friend to tie the others up, or just kill them, but this affects your Morality. Morality counts to the end of the game where the citizen may even take up arms to help you out with the last firefight. More so, you even make 'Co-op Choices. These are events that pop up that prompt you to do a good thing for diddly squat, or a bad thing for MOOLAH! (Ex, I let the a White Bengal Tiger go instead of killing it for money, I mean hey, when it escaped it ate a man who held up a convenience store) .

Enemies may pop up on you and order you to surrender, so why not? Mock surrender and pull a Claire Redfield on them ( If you do not know, Claire mocks surrenders and then kills like 4 people with her pistol when the enemy lowered their guns).

As usual, like most of the reviews I do, this game is about GUNS and the CUSTOMIZATION OF GUNS(By the way, while writing this review, I messed up writing 'gun' by writing 'fun', coincidence?) The ability to do up your guns is available whenever you aren't being shot at. So whenever you have a minute, Hold the Weapon button(Y) and press down to go to the Weapon Selection Screen. The customization is a lot, but not a lot. Odd I know but it's the truth. You have less guns to choose from but more attachements, barrels, stocks, cartridges, front mounts, barrel mounts and camouflages to buy and apply. Most of the time you are reusing parts from another gun to put on another gun (Example, I placed the AK's famous Banana clip on the M4 because it adds more damage). Side note, there are two ridiculous looking guns in the game, the last primary and the last special weapon, look them up.

-Visuals-
Character models were outstanding but everything else, was just bad. The city looked like I was playing my old Xbox again. Black for the original xbox had better environments. Bullet time in this game, GAH!!!! Explosions are a joke in this game too, be sure to watch the cutscenes closely guys, designers got sloppy.

-Audio-
Realistic I spose, I mean the dialogue between Salem and Rios is as amazing as it ever was, but the world is too... Quiet. I mean yes, you can hear your enemies shout commands to each other from time to time, but they and the world are too quiet. Buildings are collapsing, fires are burning and most likely a little boy's dog is dead. In all seriousness, sounds of constant panic and distress should be sounding out. Audio doesn't try hard enough.

-Multiplayer-
*Never played it. I won't deduct anything for it.
REASON: The first games multiplayer was bad and laggy when I played it, and that scares me for the second*

-Overall-
Army Of Two:The 40th Day promises the best of Rios and Salem but undermines them with not even lasting half a day and providing with a shortage of guns. Rios and Salem have decided to move on with their lives in hopes of having a larger and meaningful adventure but still loved the fact that they killed people with a Leopard print sniper rifle together.
