Armored Core is an awesome mech game that has great controls, superb gameplay, and sweet graphics. If you loved the Mechwarrior series, chances are you'd probably love this. The gameplay is excellent, and probably what I like about this game the most, is the way you can build your own mech and select your own missions. Basically what you do is bounty hunt, and there are seperate missions, such as you'll get paid more money if you blow up a fuel station rather than exterminating enemies on another mission. The whole thing is implemented very well into the game, and makes for a great expereince that you'll never forget. The graphics are good, but not great. The framerate can slow down a little bit, and the explosions don't look all that good, i'm afraid. On the other hand though, the environments are well designed, and the mechs are absolutley stunning to look at. The sound is outstanding. The sound of gunfire, the roar of your jumpjets and the explosions sound excellent. Although there really isn't alot of it, the voice acting is really good as well. Overall, if you've been wanting a little more flexibility in your mech games, or just wanted alot more intense action than before, than Armored Core is definitley the game to get. It's the best mech game for the PSone by far.
