Amazing game which will grow on you and leave you wanting more and more. This game is as realistic as it is tactical.

Realism and Tactics are two features in this game that will enable a gamer to immurse themselves into a realistic battle simulation. The great thing about ARMA II is that it has endless possibilites with a huge moding community that is constantly adding more to the game then you can imagine. From nukes to multicam rangers suicide bombers and ofcourse IED's how could anyone not appreciate the vast add ons that are available for this game.

At first glance you may think this game is way over your head. But once you get used to the interface and controls you will be dropping massive artillery strikes upown your enemies from abroad.

The map editor is sick!!! it allows you to customize your mission however you see fit. Including adding your own units, groups, vehicles, objects ... and the great thing is you can synchranize almost anything with a trigger. I was instantly hooked with the editor this game would not be such a great success.

For all those complaining about the bugs...the latest patch (1.4) has fixed the problems with stability and crashing. However this game will use up alot of your resources so make sure you got a good CPU and graphics card if you want to have good framerates. I can run it at around 35FPS with 1600x900 Very high settings and the visuals are great!!. Considering the huge size of the maps theres so much ambient life such as cows pigs dogs insects birds.. and its all active during gameplay.

This game deserves no less then an 8. For those have given this game poor review either

A) You have not tried 1.4 patch
B) You need to upgrade your CPU or graphics card
C) You have not explored the full depth of this game (map editor)


If you take the time to learn how to create your own SP and MP missions I assure you this game will have you hooked!!
