You could spend your money on worse things.
Good stuffs:
-Fantastic gamplay and smooth controls make this game one of the nicest 2d fighters to come to north america in a long time.
-Deep movesets and mix and match character selection will please most any hardcore fight fans and keep them coming back for more.
-Large maps give more freedom to fighters who like to take things to the air.
-Tons of battle systems show that this game has taken alot of inspiriration from previous fighters.
Bad Stuffs:
-Animations not up to pare with previous ps2 2d fighters such as the guilty gear series.
-All female anime inspired cast may cast the wrong impression on gamers.
-Some slight balancing issues even with the full version, but nothing to concerning.
-Shallow content makes it feel like they put no effort into a ps2 version, I would have been just as happy if they just realised a solid arcade version instead of giving me a few pictures and movies to look at.
-Unappealing backrounds and music.
-Without some one to play with you might as well just take your 29.99 and burn it.
-Atlus might bring the sequel to america much faster this time around, and youll be left wondering why you have to buy a whole new game for only 6 or 7 new characters and arcana's.
-Cast feels unoriginal and tacky.
All in all, a solid 2d fighter with and interesting twist of mix and match. Nothing to impressive, but certainly worth buying if your looking for a good fight.
