While there are dozens of TV discounts in Target's Circle Week sale, one of our favorite deals is for this 40-inch TCL S3 Smart TV with a 1080p screen, which you can get for just $150 (normally $200). The deal is only available to Target Circle members, but the program is free to join, and all members get free shipping on orders of $35 or more during Circle Week.

In the event the TV sells out--or if you don't want to buy from Target--Amazon is price-matching the deal.

TCL's 40-inch S3 smart TV also features Google TV, which supports all the major streaming apps out there, and lets you cast media from your Android devices and control your TV with Google Assistant voice commands.

Now, some folks might be surprised we'd mention a 1080p TV in 2024--after all, 4K is the standard for most new TV models, and 8K TVs are slowly becoming more common. However, there are still plenty of great 1080p models out there, and they're worth considering if you're looking for a new display. Not only do 1080p TVs run smaller and cheaper than 4K models, but they also support the latest gaming and streaming devices. In fact, in some cases, playing on a 1080p display in performance mode can result in smoother gameplay than in 4K modes (though this varies by game). There's also the fact that not every streaming service offers 4K streaming, so many users still watch movies and shows in 1080p.

While 1080p TVs are still viable for gaming, streaming, and watching Blu-rays, those looking for a new 4K TV will want to check out Target's other TV deals. There are discounts on 4K smart TVs like this 75-inch Vizio model, which is down to $530 from its usual $630. You can also get this 65-inch Hisense 4K TV for $380 (was $450). All of these TVs are on the budget side of things. Those who want to get the best performance out of their games will want to opt for high-end TVs like the LG C3 OLED 4K TV. But if you're just looking for a secondary TV or aren't interested in anything fancy, budget TVs often have solid picture quality for the price.
