Deadpool 3 Is Aiming To Outdo Dune: Part Two With Its Own Crude Popcorn Bucket

"There are some movies that inadvertently make crude and rude popcorn buckets, and then there are popcorn buckets designed by Deadpool."

Like several other blockbuster releases, Deadpool and Wolverine is joining the viral popcorn bucket craze. The big difference here is that Deadpool himself will be designing the bucket, and the end result will be intentionally crude. Considering how Dune: Part Two's popcorn bucket ended up looking like a horrifying piece of human anatomy, all bets are likely off for what Deadpool and Marvel have planned. Deadpool star Reynolds had previously hinted at this, posting "Wait until you see the Deadpool popcorn bucket" in a cryptic tweet.

"We've asked Deadpool to design a popcorn bucket for Deadpool and Wolverine," Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said at CinemaCon (via THR's Aaron Couch). "There are some movies that inadvertently make crude and rude popcorn buckets, and then there are popcorn buckets designed by Deadpool."

Feige himself dropped some F-bombs to promote the upcoming movie.

While themed popcorn buckets have been around for years, Dune: Part Two arguably kicked off a collectible arms race when it went viral with its container. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire launched with a popcorn bucket inspired by the iconic ghost trap of the films and even the new Garfield movie is teasing its own collectible receptacle for popped corn.

You won't have to wait too much longer to see what Wade Wilson has created, as Deadpool and Wolverine will arrive in theaters on July 26, 2024. In addition to Reynolds, the film stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, who'll be donning an iconic piece of the comic book character's costume for this crossover movie.
