Fans of the Transformers franchise--especially the G1 versions of the characters--have something big to look forward to in July on Netflix. Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege will arrive to the streaming service on July 30.

Revealed in a new video, which you can see below, Autobots will battle Decepticons on the Netflix original series in all its 3D animated glory.

Set on the transforming robotic planet of Cybertron, this story will kick off with Siege, which is part one of a three-part story. It will follow the civil war on the planet between the Autobots and Decepticons, as the leaders of these two groups--Optimus Prime and Megatron, respectively--don't see eye-to-eye, and Megatron wants to use the Allspark to end this war. However, that will come at a cost.

Siege will thrust viewers right into the battle for Cybertron pitting these giant robots against each other for the fate of the planet. This, in turn, will lead some of these robots to head to Earth, if you remember your classic Transformers cartoon history.

We got a first look at the new series back in February when the first trailer arrived. Siege will consist of six, 22-minute episodes as part of the first act of the trilogy. Part two of the story will be called Earthrise, and the third part's name has yet to be revealed.
