Mario Party meets Pokemon ? Now, that would be awesome ! This game is clearly not Mario Party meets Pokemon !

This game looked awesome when I saw my friend playing it. So I hoped aboard the 'ol Gravy Train and gave it a go ! I figured that if I got a monster that I created playing minigames, all would be well. WRONG ! All was not well on the Amazing Island.

The plot of the game was unoriginal. 'Black Evil has corrupted this island !' , The game shouted. Considering that without a villain the game would be nothing at all (few games can pull off the 'no villains' thing), I can't bad mouth that alone. However, most games go ATLEAST deep enough to tell us what the Black Evil did ! The gameplay was actually kind of fun. Though it wasn't presented well. I understand that the game was meant for younger gamers, but a pink turtle carrying you away at the end of a minigame ? What is that ?!?

The songs get stuck in your head, too. But not in a positive way. Super Smash Bros. music gets stuck in your head in the way that you can walk down the street and whistle it. This game's music gets stuck in your head in the way that you bang your head against your locker and cry over it. In other words, annoying and cheesy.

The graphics could improve but they could be worse, too. So... Yeah...

My point is, if you want Pokemon meets Mario Party, don't look here. Get Pokemon Emerald and Mario Party 7 instead. Want customation ? Wait for the Wii ! This game is probably the worst I've played !
