Alone in the Dark (1992)

The trend setter of the horror survival genre, was a gem to me in 1992. Even with prehistoric graphics and sound.

It's 15 years ago since I have played this game so the memory is kinda a blur to me, remembering only bits and pieces. Still, what I do remember is that, being one of the first games it paved the way for the horror genre of today. Regardless, I had a good time and had genuine fun.
I couldn't play the game now, because of the sound that is outdated and maybe worse than a midi sound. But if it wasn't for the games like this in those early days, I don't know how the genre would have been developed. So, are you a hard core fan of the horror games and like to visit the roots of the genre, than you might as well start here. My rating is now too much influenced by all the games I have played since now, but don't let that discourage you to try this game out if you somehow got the chance.
