Awesome, but dang, it could've been perfect!

"Yo buddy, you still reading?"

Sorry, couldn't help it.

The story of the belkan war was nicely laid out by the narrator with a twist here and there. The story of the falling belkan nation and their desperate attempt to conquer its neighbouring countries ran smoothly especially when parts of the nations united for project : " a world with no boundaries". Now that was nice. Anyway, no plot holes.

Next to that, the graphics are amazing. I have to give a thumbs up to bandai-namco for whatever graphics program they were using. The interviewed dudes practically looked like real people.

Soundtrack. Wow. So epic. Working in sync with the visuals, the audio was incredible. Really made you feel like you were in the game.

Now here comes the not so good side:

Gameplay. Not to say playing the game was not fun, but there wasn't really anything new. It felt like an ace combat 3 with a good storyline and better graphics and SOME additional controls. Still not breaking new ground.

I guess that's it, basically.

In conclusion, I would recommend purchasing the game EXCEPT if you are looking for something that hasn't already been done earlier in the ace combat series regarding gameplay.
