User Rating: 5.5 | A New Beginning - Final Cut MAC
draws from a very current issue to tell a cataclysmic tale about a world on the verge of total destruction, all due to the careless and selfish ways of mankind. Are you ready? Don't groan. Okay we're talking climate change. Don't run off yet – this game isn't preachy. This is the adrenaline-pumping, mind-boggling, time-travelling, and awesome kind of climate change, with explosions and plasma drills and all sorts of good stuff like that, you just wait and see.

The game was initially released in Europe in 2010, and came to the UK in 2011, however the most recent version, A New Beginning – Final Cut, is now localized for several new languages, features improved stability, and has been let loose on Steam with the addition of all-new achievements. Other than that, the game is the very same beast it was a couple of years ago, but now even more people can get their hands on it, which is always a good thing. Now let's get to it.

Long story short, humans have one last hope to save Earth's future, but unfortunately this responsibility lays in the past with a retired and depressed man's under-appreciated research – research that during his working life failed to ever come to fruition. After giving up on his theories long ago, Bent Svensson's discoveries are at risk of falling into the wrong hands. It's up to a young woman named Fay, who claims to be from the future, to convince him to join forces with her and ultimately work together to prevent the oncoming climate disaster that will change the world forever.
